The Last Straw Ale House - Calgary, Alberta

Great first time at the Last Straw! We sat on the patio it was perfect weather and not busy at all so we sat right away. We had Brandy (I think that was her name) she was brand new, it was only her second day but she was great!! Kenzie ... was helping her out and she was also great! We had 2 piece fish & chips and a build your own pizza. The only downside was the pizza sauce was a bit spicy for my liking but I am also a wuss and can’t handle heat so it’s really not a bad thing for other normal people. Ordered takeout for the whole family and I will definitely be ordering again. As well as my husband and I will be going for date night. The food was amazing even after bringing it home I had a clubhouse and it was exactly what I wanted.

Stopped by with the wifey for a little day date and had a great time. The suicide wings had a decent burn rating and the mango chipotle were really good also. We would have enjoyed trying more of the cocktail menu but to their credit it got pretty busy during ... lunch so we only tried the strawberry vodka iced tea and the coconut margarita. I came in for a late night bite. I was greeted by a lovely server. The interior is a low light English style pub. They have many tvs for watching the game and vlts. The mocktail selection is small, but I'm confident that the bar tender could make you anything you want ... with there vast selection of mixes. We had steak sandwich, house salad and the perogy wraps. All were very good, though the steak was a little tough, especially for medium rare. Still pretty good though, flavor was definitely good.
