Schanks Sports Grill - Calgary, Alberta

Our group can only comment that this place is average, kind of boring, and really nothing special. Sure if you want to watch a game and sit down to average beer and food choices this could be your kind of place. We decided to check out the Reno for happy ... hour Friday and it was quiet and food was totally underwhelming, we can only compare the food to what you get at an airport, plastic cups filled with condiments and not memorable at all, that's why it lost 2 stars in our opinion. The bowling alley is gone, but the 9 hole mini golf, pony betting, arcade, pool tables and virtual golf remains. On the upside it is quiet enough that you can chat over your game of pool. Read more

I'll be honest I been here 4 times since they have aloud people to come in ! unclear when they are officially reopening but it's been a step up! yes smaller place but god damnit I had half a beer and was asked if I was ready for another by ... my server ! Great DJ Eddie Black played fun dancing music, super service, great food (nachos), and best of all watched Calgary win thier last game of 2017.

I have been to this Schanks location several times over the past ten years and it has always been consistently good- the food is tasty and they have a decent beer selection, and it's not too pricey. Great place to watch a game and lots of activities (arcade, pool, mini ... golf) as well. Read more
