NIXX Pub - Calgary, Alberta

Purchased an 8" 2 topper pizza for take-out yesterday. Service was friendly and the pub looked great inside while picking up the food. Came to $22 with tip. Opened the box and it looked delicious. Sadly, it had absolutely no taste and barely any sauce. Called it quits after 2/6 ... slices. Learned my lesson and will never order another overpriced, below deli grade pizza from there again. Went to KFC down the street for a better priced and better tasting meal. Read more

This is the only restaurant that has served canned mushrooms and then claimed that they were fresh. They weren't warm, they looked like they were canned. And they tasted like they were canned. Nasty as hell. The steak was edible. The rest of it was almost edible. The beer was ... pretty much the same as any other place. But they shrugged when I called out their mushrooms. I will not down there again, and I do not recommend them. Absolutely overpriced for what I got, and the fact that there's steak sandwich was within $3 of their macaroni and cheese just goes to show how much they love their food. They just don't. Read more

A couple of weeks ago I went with my boyfriend to check out these amazing wings that he keeps speaking about. They were honestly some of the BEST wings I’ve ever had! Unfortunately tonight when we decided to go again, we were highly disappointed. The wings were nothing like the last ... time we went just a few weeks ago. Our wings came not breaded and looked nothing like the last time we were there. Definitely disappointed considering we talked about how much we were looking forward to them throughout the day. It’s so unfortunate when you go to a venue and the consistency isn’t the same. We were told tonight that there were new cooks working this evening. It was super frustrating when the servers kept bringing our wings back saying they were breaded, but it was very clear they weren’t. Even though the first server who we told this to strongly agreed with us. Making sure to keep the inconsistency a theme. It’s a shame when you have such a recipe for success yet you fail to get the ingredients right. Read more

Came here for dinner on Sunday. Sat next to a sign that said "All Day Happy Hour" so I looked at their happy hour menu and saw their Classic Burger was on special so I ordered it. Upon receiving our bill, we were charged full price for the Classic Burger. ... Upon inquiring, the waitress later told us the Classic Burger we ate was different than the Classic Burger on special... I'm fine paying full price but at no point were we asked which "Classic Burger" we wanted. I won't be supporting an establishment that baits and switches with false advertising. Read more

The food was fine, I had the buffalo chicken wrap, I wish there was more chicken though. Didn’t have high hopes. Fries were standard, good. Waitress was nice.
