T&T has 3 stores in Calgary. I went to every one of them, but this one is more accessible with the CTrain, compared to the other 2 (one near Ikea, the other near the airport). I essentially go there to buy fruits/veggies, and Asian sauces. Not all the time though, because ... their prices may be higher than H-Mart of Lucky at times. But they have a good variety of snacks like strawberry or banana oreo, and other biscuits like Chocopie (that I find very dry and compact), Pocky, senbei, … so it is a nice place to try something unusual. The meat and fish section is expensive, maybe more than general supermarkets. And the sandwich they have are always on the sweet side, which feels a bit wrong to me (even though I am Asian and appreciate a salty sweet combo from time to time). The pastry looks amazing, but I tried a macha roll on January that I found too dry. The food court dishes looks yummy, but I tried the dumplings twice and they were really disappointing. I prefer the one I am having at home, more flavorful. Takoyakis are not very good either. I recommend the ones from Gogi. The sushi are a good point, they have a better fish-rice ratio than in France, and are fresh. And the bento box is, ok. I mean the veggies dishes are good. The fried fish are too oily, and as for the meat, it is always sweet. I don’t understand this level of sweetness. It just feels unhealthy. Then again, it is just my personal opinion, and maybe westerners might like this. Read more
