The One Sushi - Calgary, Alberta

The service was horrendous. Tables were dirty and not busy. Chairs were super slippery on the floor. It took a long time for them to approve our iPad orders. When we went to pay she slammed down the iPad cause she said we didnt order anything but the iPad has ... an option to get your bill so thats what we had clicked. She stormed off to get the tabs. Then i was in the washroom my friend paid and my mom paid for her and I. She slammed the debit machine down on the table and got mad at them for trying pay cash. The waitress yelled at my mom and friend and said your friend pay now your friend pay now. My mom had paid for her and I and they tried to tell her that and she wouldn't listen to them. They had to grab the cash from her to count it out for her to show we were all paid out. Also a sign showing a sign that today was 10% off all day and we didnt get that either. Don't expect great sushi. I've gone to this place before and just been satisfied with the experience, but the last time we went has me never wanting to go back. My mom and I went for lunch all you can eat and were seated promptly because it hadn't gotten busy get. ... We got our drinks and submitted our first order. The last item on that order didn't arrive at the table till 45 minutes later and it was only because we said we hadn't gotten it.. twice (the first time we were ignored). When we did get it the salmon inside it had been so poorly cut and cleaned I couldn't bite it. We saw at least two tables arrive and leave during the time we were there, getting items we had ordered as well before we did. We told the host/waitress about our experience and even showed our loyalty stamp card as proof we are regulars, but nothing was done to compensate for it. Not going back. Read more

Their advertisement of 15% off All Day is a scam!!!! The sign has no restrictions and the servers did not tell us about any restrictions prior to eating. When we were paying they surprised us with "Cash only for 15% off". This is illegal false advertising. Unfortunately, the service ... was also poor. They were infrequent to come to the table and the food sat on the expo line for a long time. We saw a table walk out because they had been waiting too long for service. Read more

Service was very very slow but servers were very kind! Food was not worth the wait and the money! Pictures on the menu wasn't even close on what I was served. Wouldn't go back.

Amazing place. Really fresh seafood. I know the service could take a while because they are always bussy. But they always do the best they can. After trying a lot of sushi places I choose this one as my favorite.
