Even though the decor inside of this restaurant is subpar, the food itself is very delicious. Friday, Saturday, and Sundays are the worst times to get food as its always very busy. Sometimes you could even expect times of up to one hour. But to make up that long wait ... time, as previously mentioned, the food is really good. I want people to know the food, Chinese, is AMAZING from this place. We usually have it delivered & it always is delivered quickly & hot. Tonight we decided to walk down, we live nearby, & eat in. The restaurant is plain inside but very clean. We have enjoyed going down & ... eating there rather then doing delivery but tonight was an exception to that rule. We were welcomed by a friendly young girl who gave us menus right away & took our drink order. However, her friends, I would say all in late teens a young man & girl were there. We were the only customers in the place. These friends were so loud & irritating & the girl, not server, was VERY rude, judgemental & had a totally disrespectful attitude towards men, gay people etc. My husband & I decided that we would just order our food & take it home as just sitting & enjoying a quiet meal there was not in the cards! We noticed that when the older Chinese woman, we believe she is the owner, came into the restaurant the 3 kids toned down their voices to a respectable level. This was nice but by this time our order was made & packaged in to go containers. My opinion on Silver Gate is DEFINITELY order from there & by all means go to the restaurant & eat in. The service is very good & I truly believe what we experienced tonight is something that doesn't really happen very often or outside of tonight ever. Excellent pricing and portions, always happy with my orders, never any mistakes or bad surprises. I'm very happy to tip on delivery which I like for the ordering online system and no deferral to #skip the dishes or #door dash. #Ginger Beef awesome, #Singapore Rice Noodles are excellent as well. ... No bells and whistles as far as decor and environment go, and the location was a bit off putting, but so glad we went ahead wirh our order anyway. The food was hot and fresh and the portions were enormous! My boyfriend said it was the best ginger beef he’s ... had in forever. Lots of food for the price, and really tasty. Learned something too, our server shared customs and information regarding chopstick lore. Pretty great cheap food, which makes up for the lack of atmosphere.
