This iconic restaurant has been in operation for over 45 years in Calgary's Chinatown. Its been the go to place after last call at licensed establishments for decades. Unfortunately, they will be closed permanently after August 27, 2022 so it's been packed for weeks with loyal customers wanting to get ... in one last meal. We were there tonight to bid a fond farewell and the Deep Fried Oysters and the Chicken and Creamed Corned soup (just a couple of our favorite dishes) tasted exactly the same as they did when we first tried them over 40 years ago. Ordered salt&pepper fried squid, sweet&sour pork, and Special fried rice. Everything was awesome but especially you should try that squid I highly recommend 👍🏻 soft inside and tender all the meat. Had a great time with my hubby😊

The food was delicious! Every single dish was fresh and piping hot and cooked to perfection. You can tell the chef has many years of experience. Kudos to the chef. Finally tried this place and wasn't disappointed. For a Saturday night I found the service to be fairly quick, and the food came out very fast after we ordered. As for what we ordered. Spicy salt and pepper squid, sweet and sour boneless pork, chow fun ... noodles and one 8 bean hot pot. I would have to rate the spicy squid quite high, let's say 7.5 out of 10 my only complaint is that it wasn't spicy enough, the sweet and sour pork was fairly standard , the noodles for me are the star of the four items we ordered, very good flavor and texture, as for the hot pot it was quite good the flavors of ginger are very strong but well recieved.
