The Still Fine Spirits & Edibles - Calgary, Alberta

Stopped in before a Calgary Flames game. If I had to guess, this place probably shines as a karaoke joint which seems to be their main focus. We didn't have much to eat so I won't judge the food. Drinks were decently priced. The Old Fashioned ... was one of the smokiest I've ever had, and quite the fire show to make them too I might add. I enjoyed the maximum smoke, but not everyone did at our table. You could literally smell the drink from across the 10 person table! Speaking of smells, there was a smell in the bar that was a bit gross - kind of a cross between sewage and bar mat smell. Not sure where that was coming from. Service was good. This place is comically bad. I think that most grocery stores microwave meals would be an upgrade to this. I've reviewed quite a few restaurants but this one leaves me at a loss for words. Service was a average but the food would be a 1 or lower out of 5 ... for me. Only redeeming factor for The Still is the location. Read more

Avoid at all costs. This place is a gong show. We work in the building and many of us have had several bad experiences. I waited over an hour for my meal. You'd think that the server would wonder why the rest of my colleagues got their meal but I ... didn't. Didn't bother to check that's why. When I finally got my meal the order was wrong. No offer to comp the meal, no apology, I actually had to ask if they were going to comp it. It's a wonder this place is "Still" open. Read more

My wife and I made it down to meet some friends here the other night. We all had the most incredible time sitting out on the patio. We were lucky enough to bet there for some live music. Plus, it was half priced wine night... my favorite! The ... waitresses were all very friendly and accommodating. The floor manager, Braeden, also made a point to connect with us - which, made the evening extra special. We'll be looking forward to visiting again soon. :) Read more

Wow! Great service at a busy location. Hostess staff is wonderful; outgoing, accommodating and friendly- even when run off their feet! Parking on the street and directly across the street. Located across from the LRT and from Stampede Park and the Saddledome. Menu is eclectic but there are some warming ... reminders of home with the he Mac and a cheese and the Maple Baked Salmon.
