Original Joe’s Restaurant & Bar - Calgary, Alberta

Food was surprisingly really good, my buffalo chicken wrap was packed with chicken and wrapped nice and tightly. Fish and chips were nice giant pieces. Some of the fries we couldn't consume due to how hard they were even with the gravy.

Update: Original Joe's at Deerfoot City impressed us again with delicious salt and pepper wings and flavorful onion rings with dill dip. The gyozas were good but not warm enough. Drinks were cold and refreshing, and the staff was accommodating with our drink order mistake. The atmosphere was inviting. We'll ... definitely return. Previous review: The atmosphere was inviting. This is our first time visit this place and we love it 😍💯✨. The place is located upstairs (north gate) and has many good deal throughout the weekdays. We went out for a date on Tuesday which is the chicken wings day (50%off around 9$ per order). They also have ... happy hour 🍻 after 9 PM. The bar looks amazing with low beams lights theme perfect for a date or hang out with friends. The customer service is excellent with knowledgeable servers who knows how to recommend us drinks and food to fit a perfect date night. 😇 We highly recommend check this place out for couple or groups of friends. The steak sandwich and mashed potatoes was an absolutely delicious meal. The waitress was very warm and friendly. The ambience was clean, airy, well lit (large windows overlooking the street). Great place with a great feel. Went here after work and before visiting another place close by, we wanted a few drinks and a small bite to eat before we carried on. We ordered the nachos and chicken fingers and it was amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful, ... the place felt clean and very inviting. The food came fast and the nachos were big and tasty, no real complaints at all. The Cajun chicken was a great fit and the cheese amount was excellent. The chicken fingers are a classic and had a great crunch and the fries were classic and easy to eat. Its hard to say anything was not great and I will probably come back here again over other places to be honest. It is located up the stairs which can be a little off putting but for those who can, its worth it. Read more
