Cajun Chicken Hut - Calgary, Alberta

I ordered from here for the first time last night and it was extremely disappointing. first off the chicken is not Cajun in any way. it is more of a southern fried style that you would find at most east coast mom and pop take out places but poorly executed. ... the chicken was so hot that it had melted through the lid of the take out box and there was massive pools of grease in the bottom. the fries tasted and looked like it was microwaved and the gravy was smaller than a dipping sauce which in retrospect is not a bad thing because it was abhorrent! I can say that the chicken pieces were gigantic and the price was extremely low compared to other chicken places but unfortunately the quality and flavor also did not compare to other chicken places. My rating is higher than five so huge props to this lovely place. Chicken and Breakfast is so delicious and the service is the best I have ever had I would highly recommend this place to everyone I know.

Had the butter chicken and it was absolutely horrible. I have had butter chicken at atleast 30 other places in Calgary as it is my favorite dish and have even made it at home a few times and this is honestly the worst butter chicken ever. It didn't even look ... like butter chicken, it was chicken pieces in a dark brown sauce, and tasted worse then it looked. Honestly ate less then half before I threw it away. Nice and friendly people. They changed the old greasy spoon to nice neighbourhood eatery. Will visit again. Exciting menu with lots of options.
