Bridgette Bar - Calgary, Alberta

It was a really nice place 😁. Had the grilled octopus salad, that was a time!! The flavors in my mouth were just short of celestial. The dip for eggplant fries was also so amazing. Also if you drink alcohol, the first wives club has to be tried!

Been coming to Bridgette Bar for YEARS, and it is my absolute favourite. They always have the best food (consistently good), service and cocktails! I always bring visitors from out of town, and they continually comment on how it was their fave meal and vibe. Fave cocktail is the rolling ... canoe, and their banana pie dessert is a MUST. Better than other Concorde group restaurants but still falls short of other similarly priced Calgary establishments. Recommend: eggplant fries, chicken liver mousse, beet salad, rainbow trout, grilled lamb saddle Unfortunately the duck was tough, and the shrimp & calamari radiatori was not a pleasant seafood pasta experience. Such a cool atmosphere, but not such a great service and food. We didn’t have reservation, but we still found a spot! It was beautiful evening to sit near window. We ordered drinks, and as to me they was overpriced for what we got. We didn’t like taste of the ... drinks. We ordered pizza and some sneaks, taste of pizza 5 cheese didn’t have any compatibility with name. I could only taste two cheeses, it was mostly a dough. 3/10 Delicious snacks, by the way! Eggplant fries was my favorite! 10/10 I was disappointed with service. Angry waitress, who didn’t care at all about giving us a good service. We waited for our bill more than 20 min. Maybe it’s a great place to celebrate birthday or different occasion and reserve table in advance, maybe they will have better attitude to you, but as to me, I didn’t like this place. Wonderful restaurant in Calgary. We had an early reservation on a Sunday. The kitchen starts the dinner menu at 5pm. You can choose from a limited appetizer menu along with their full cocktail/drink menu. We started with the Humus Chips. It was the perfect light snack as we waited to order ... dinner. The cocktails were delicious and refreshing. Our waitress was so kind and attentive. For dinner I ordered the Shrimp and Calamari pasta. This was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had!!! The sauce was light and creamy and it had generous amount of calamari and shrimp. My husband ordered the Wood Grilled Beef Strip Steak. It was cooked to perfection. He swapped out the au jus for a Béarnaise and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend if you are looking for great food near downtown! Read more
