Fusion Sushi – Downtown - Calgary, Alberta

Fusion was once our go-to place for reasonably-priced delicious sushi. Recently however, both our sit-in and takeout dining experiences have been completely disappointing. Fusion has started to fill all its sushi (AYCE, reg menu, reg rolls, special rolls) with fried panko breadcrumbs and have reduced the fillings that the rolls should have ... (fish, avocado, etc.) to HALF the usual amount- the result being sushi that has a completely off texture and absolutely disgusting taste. (Breadcrumbs also make you much fuller, much faster during All-You-Can-Eat). What might have started as a cost-cutting measure has become a thoroughly customer-cheating practice, and has downgraded the food quality to the point where there’s no viable reason to continue eating here. Went here on a Saturday and you can see its really is full pack !! There is a waiting line and we need to wait to be seated. Food is really good aside for the Tempura , its soggy and not crunchy but given the situation ill still give 5 stars ... for the food. The service is nice , the crew is tired but they try to do thier best to cope up with the service so Kudos to all Atmosphere is ok, little bit chaiotic but all good .. very tasty food, but they didn’t give me chopsticks, although I noted when ordering to add cutlery and wrote a message to the restaurant to put chopsticks for 2 people, as a result, no chopsticks, no soy sauce because it all spilled!! I'm from Edmonton. I visited for this Christmas holiday and came across this sushi restaurant at DoorDash and ordered it. It was the best sushi restaurant I've ever had and it was affordable. If I lived in Calgary, it's a good place to order every day. I highly recommend it.

We arrived in the middle of a snow storm, in a warm place, friendly employees, and the way to order using a tablet, make the experience a very pleasant one.
