Ensira Ethiopian Restaurant - Calgary, Alberta

Good ambience and excellent service. We have the combination platter for 2. However not worth the price for 55cad. In menu it was 18 though. Not sure why this difference

I hadn't had Ethiopian food before and I am happy we chose Ensira to change that! Great delicious food full of flavour! The spices were so fragrant but not too hot spicy (at least for me). We went with a group of five and got five dishes from the menu. Then ... they serve all together in a big platter that you share with everyone. It was plenty of food, we could have gotten away with four dishes instead. Make sure to eat with your hands to enjoy the real experience! The restaurant itself is nothing fancy but it's clean. It could be a bit tricky to park though. Service was just OK for us, I wish we had more explanation about the food and how we were supposed to order it, but managed to ask what we wanted to know. Please note that if you don't like smoke like Sisha style maybe this is not a place for you. I don't know how this one is called, it's just something on the table that releases smoke with strong incense like smell. I was really bothered by this when we first came in. Luckily by the time the food arrived there was not much more smoke on that (it was on a another table). Read more

Delicious food and an amazing service. One of the best Ethiopian restaurant. Me and my friends had great time and we highly recommend it!!

Wow. Ensira is awesome, they feature a super warm atmosphere paired with great traditional food. The owners are very friendly, and made us feel like family. We were not sure what to order, so the owner helped us out tremendously. We will definitely be back! Thank you so very much for your hospitality!

First experience with Ethiopian food. Glad I chose here. Well prepared, tasty, definitely hooked. Highly recommended.
