Dae Ji Cutlet House - Burnaby, British Columbia

Recently, it seems that there have been changes. The branch locations in Coquitlam and Surrey, as well as the menu offerings, differed from my previous visits. While the novelty is interesting, I'm uncertain if the new arrangement is an improvement. I ordered pork cutlet, but the sauce didn't come with it, ... so I had to request it separately. This led me to believe that there might be new staff or even a change in ownership. The service was friendly. Various side dishes accompanied the meal, a positive aspect. However, the taste left something to be desired. The plating also fell short of expectations. Despite having plans to be in the vicinity again, I'm not sure if I would return unless there's a standout item on the menu. Perhaps another visit could help solidify my opinion. Read more

Not sure why this place always has a grand opening sign on it, but it was a great set dinner. Crispy Korean cutlets with a unique house gravy, and several cold accoutrements to complement the cutlet. The fried chicken was enjoyable, though it wasn't the most crispy.

The lunch set is definitely a good deal. ~$20 for a fancy set! No wonder it is limited everyday and only available on weekdays. Had the same set before and everytime the side dishes are a little different. All the dishes are so delicious, especially the Katsu. Large portion and ... could not finish it. Read more

My wife brought me here one day because she heard it was good. I didn't expect it to be great! The portions are amazing for what you pay. The dozen little side dishes that come with a meal was superb. A must visit if you want great Korean food 😋.

Crazy good portion sizes. Can't really go wrong! Though I must say, you might want to look somewhere else if you're looking for an authentic Korean taste. Sadly, I will not recommend the Tteokbokki as well.
