This place has been my go to sushi place for the last 3 years! I've had weeks where I've eaten from here several days in a row😅 Does not ever disappoint. Consistently amazing food and always very good service. The tempura is always crispy and seasoned perfectly. The sushi tastes ... great. The ramen tastes amazing. Pleasantly surprised by this sushi joint in Burnaby. I ordered the teriyaki Bento box which can be ordered at any time during business hours. The Bento box comes with a side of miso soup. I also ordered wild salmon maki rolls. Everything was fresh and delicious. The teriyaki chicken was ... surprisingly hot and tasty. Crispy perfection. I paid a total of $23 and change (including tips) for the entire meal. The customer service was a bit lacking, but don’t let that stop you from trying this authentic sushi restaurant. This is a really cute restaurant in Burnaby. They do have dine in and their meals are actually quite reasonably priced. Although with the cost, comes smaller portions (or atleast I’ve noticed for the sushi rolls compared to other sushi places I’ve been to). Having said that, they do have ... additional charges such as an extra charge for extra sauce or different sauce, or if you are dining in but want a box to take the remainder of your food home - they charged $0.50 for a box. Food quality is okay, I would not rate this as amazing sushi but I also wouldn't rate it terrible. Portion sizes are small. My "Spicy Salmon" roll was more avocado than salmon. The menu does not indicate that there's avocado on it and they have a roll that is Salmon ... and Avocado so this did not make sense to me. When I approached the cashier about it she simply said "you didn't want avocado on it?" I said it's fine this time as I didn't want to make a big deal. I will not be ordering this item again if I decide to go back. It was not worth the price and the add on fee of $0.50 for wild salmon when only about 25% of the filling was actual salmon. Read more
