The food tasted really good. A bit too spicy for me even though I asked for mild. Service was great and every table was full.

Nice place, great food. When ordering hot spice level it's not just chilies thrown on top, it's cooked fresh and the spice is infused. All the food was great that we ordered. Nice waitress, very sweet. Masala chai was really good, but ... contained sugar, so be aware when you order to taste first and not put sugar automatically. The most plain and overpriced Indian food I’ve ever had. Butter chicken was more tomato soup from a can than butter chicken. No seasoning or flavour. 1 single garlic naan was five bucks and had almost no hint of garlic to it. The provided red chutney, was in fact Barbecue ... sauce. The worst, most low effort Indian food I’ve ever paid for. This place single handedly lowers the bar for what can even be called Indian Cuisine. Made with absolutely no care or soul. Read more

We were looking for an Indian restaurant for lunch recently while shopping on Hastings st around Boundary. Read reviews of Chakra and came in. There was no hostess to receive us so we took a table and sat ourselves down. Another 2 men walked in 10 min later, and they found their ... own table and the hostess don't come until 20 min later We ended up ordering Lamb Vindaloo, Chicken Methi, rice and garlic Naan, and a starter of Onion pakoras The pakoras were nice and big size. The food, although spicy (it's hard to guage a restaurants version of spicy from an initial visit) was very tasty. I stumbled upon this one and decided to try and so glad I did. We grabbed take out chicken biryani and vegi platter. The food was very good and tasty. The portions were very large I ate at lunch and saved for dinner too :) pretty happy with the service ... seems like run by a nice small family and little boy was helping parents too :) thank you for providing the community with such a wonderful and tasteful food.
