Set in an industrial area so it has a hole in the wall feel. Portions are huge so it’s absolutely a great value for your dollars but I find the food on the greasy side. The park is nearby so it’s good to go for a walk after a big meal.
Absolutely a home run! Awesome place in terms of food quality and bang for buck. We went around 11:45 AM as a group of 3 knowing it’s usually busy and the wait was about 35 mins for food but they were very clear upfront to warn us and time flew ... by as we had our coffee and chatted while they prepped. The wait was worth it. Service was friendly and inviting, A+ to all the service staff. Atmosphere in my opinion was as expected, it’s an old school feel diner in an industrial park location. It was clean and comfortable but don’t expect 5 star hotel fancy ambiance it’s also not priced like that. Their food portion in a fancy location would easily be jacked up 50% or more. I ordered the Spanish omelette with a coffee and it was wonderful. Parking is relatively easy to find if not right in front in the nearby side street 1-2 mins walk max away. I would definitely come back here again and can understand why this place is so raved about. Read more
Before getting down to the review by itself, just wow, what a fantastic place to eat breakfast/lunch! Fraser Park restaurant performed amazingly for the 3 factors I will be evaluating this establishment. For those that are reading this review, i base my factors on Food, Service, and Atmosphere (eating environment). Firstly, ... the environment upon entering this establishment was interesting in my opinion. Parking was semi easy because the parking lot in front of the restaurant is PACKED with cars. Luckily there is a park nearby which allows parking. When entering the restaurant, we were greeted with a canteen like setting where you order up front, but they wilI bring food to your table. An interesting concept for sure. When it came down to food, i ordered the deluxe german breakfast. The presentation was nice but as a warning, the sizes here are HUGE, so you certainly will get a bang for your buck here. The food was satisfying to eat, especially the schnitzel, omlette, the sausage, and potatoes. The schnitzel with gravy was savoury yet rich which activated all my tastebuds. The omlette tasted alright, but with the cheese, became a stable part of the dish. Sausage tasted great as it was nice and savoury, along with the properly fried potatoes. Overall was very satisfied with what I ate. Simply amazing place to eat your breakfast or lunch. Great portion sizes and the taste for the food proved to amplify my dining experience. From the schnitzel to the omlette, it tasted amazing, which for generic breakfast food such as this, surprised me, as I thought the food would be subpar at best. I highly recommend this establishment to friends and family. Simply a must try and you will be hooked! Read more
Nice family run diner tucked away in the industrial part of South Burnaby. Heard from a friend that it gets very busy around lunch! The portions are massive so the dishes are good for sharing (or for leftovers). Two of us split a German Breakfast. The plate came with eggs ... and cheese (their version of scrambled is more like a pan-fried omelette texture), ham, bacon, sausage, hash browns, toast, and a couple of small orange slices. The menu said it came with a potato pancake, but we unfortunately didn't see it on our plate. The food was tasty and satisfying for brunch! The restaurant is very much self-serve as diners pay for drinks like coffee, but it's at the front counter for you to get yourself. Carafes of cold water are in a fridge for you to help yourself to as well. It was a neat experience, and definitely worth the price for food. Simple, casual and affordable! Read more
Nice restaurant to get away from the Vancouver breakfast crowd and long lines. Food was delicious especially the blueberry and banana pancake. The pancakes are big, we ordered two but one would have been enough. Everything was nice, hot and fresh!
