This place was pretty authentic, in my mind. We ordered the Sashimi Bibimbap (which I highly recommend), the Seafood Pancake and the Squid Tempura, all was fantastic. We had a late lunch at around 2:30pm (still busy but no line up)…it took a while for the food to arrive but they were worth the wait!!! We had deep fried sole (2 big ones in one dish)….crispy but not too salty! Perfect to go with beer! Served with ... steamy pot of rice and miso soup. (Leftover fish took home for dinner and still tasted crispy….surprise!) Had also the pork back bone soup served with a pot of rice on the side. Soup was very heartening with 5 pieces of pork! One thing's for certain: this place doesn't skimp on portions! We were taken aback by the sheer size of the servings, something we hadn't anticipated. The restaurant buzzes with activity, which makes sense given the good quality, reasonable prices, and generous dishes on offer. While the sashimi bibimbap was a ... novel treat, a tweak to the dressing and its amount could elevate it to perfection. While I can’t speak too much about the overall atmosphere, the food and service were all great! The portions are quite large so I recommend that you go with an empty stomach! The deep fried sole was not too oily and the fish was seasoned well. The sashimi bibimbap was also ... very fresh and they didn’t skimp on the portions for this dish, either. I usually avoid deep-fried food, but I decided to try the recommended fish dish at this restaurant, and I was surprised! Instead of one piece, it came with three, which was a pleasant surprise. The fish was incredibly crispy and delicious. I also appreciated the call-for-service button they had on the ... table. I believe every restaurant should have one—it made getting assistance easy and convenient. The price for the meal was reasonable as well. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would definitely return for the deep-fried fish. Read more
