Looking for a refreshing fruit tea on this hot day? Weekend tea may be worth trying! ☀️ I ordered the pineapple passion fruit with taro balls, while my friend got the brown sugar milk with pearls. I really loved the pineapple passin fruit, it wasn’t too sweet (I got 30% sugar) ... and you can tell it’s fresh fruit, rather than just syrup. It was really refreshing with that citrus tang. You definitely don’t need toppings, they were pretty standard regardless. As for the brown sugar milk with pearls, it was a bit too sweet, wasn’t the biggest fan of it. My only complaint about this place is the price, it’s a bit hefty to pay around $8 for each drink. The menu was also really confusing because they had lots of pictures everywhere, and I wish it was just all in one place. Besides that, it’s an aesthetically pleasing Place with the perfect summer drink. It’s the best fruit tea I’ve had, although I’m fairly new to the fruit tea market. I don’t understand the high ratings. I ordered strawberry fruit tea and lychee fruit tea. Both drinks were very watery and had little flavour. The worst was the strawberry fruit tea that had an aftertaste that I couldn’t even finish the drink. The interior was nice though.

Just because a place is called “Weekend Tea” doesn’t mean that you can’t show up on a weekday. That’s exactly what I did when I visited the newish Weekend Tea located on Kingsway in Burnaby. The benefit, of course, is that it’s not busy and you can get a pic ... with their pleasant wall adorned with greenery. This place seems to specialize in fruit teas so I ordered the Assorted Fruit ($6.75) which uses a passion fruit tea as the base and then adds a mix of orange, lemon, lime, strawberry, and watermelon slices. It’s not overly sweet and is refreshing on a hot summer day. On my next visit, I tried their Lychee Fruit Tea ($6.75) which turned out to be my favorite drink here. It’s a bit sweet but I like all of the lychee pieces in the drink. On a subsequent visit, we ordered the Assorted Fruit again as well as the Golden Kiwi ($6.75 each). I’ll have to admit that the golden kiwi wasn’t that great and I didn’t finish it. I figured it was about time that I branched out from my regular order here and tried their Zang Mango ($6.50) made with milk and real mango. It’s actually a really odd sensation feeling the pieces of mango as they slide up the straw. You can specify if you want this drink hot or cold and I choose cold. Surprisingly, I did quite enjoy this drink. Take my advice, don’t wait for the weekend to try out this place. Read more

I really love the aesthetic of this place, beautiful decor and bright lights. I really enjoy the honeydew yogurt drink, it’s unique and special. It seems like yogurt drinks are becoming more and more popular now as I see them popping up. I recommend getting the honeydew yogurt drink, I ... especially love the tiny jelly? Balls at the bottom which added such nice and chewy texture to the drink. The other drink I got was lychee tea? And that was only ok for me, nothing special...but it looked really pretty in pictures LOL. Prices are on the higher end and limited spots. Service is nice, they brought our drinks out for us. I can’t wait to try their “zang mango” and “grape yogurt” as well. Read more
