Boston Pizza - Burnaby, British Columbia

Our second time here for a Royale Pizza. The sauce tasted like it was straight out of a can, it was so tasteless and concentrated. Our biggest issue was the shrimp still had the tails on them. When we asked our waitress why, she had to go and ask the ... cook why. Maybe 10 minutes later she returned to tell us that the supplier delivered the wrong size of shrimp. That is the most silliest excuse I have ever heard. They still could have been removed. This is a case of inexperienced help.in my opinion. Then comes the lounge music. We were all trying to enjoy the soccer game at the same time major head banging music was blaring like we were at a 70’s concert. If that wasn’t enough to rattle our nerves 3 little kids under the age of 5 started running laps between the lounge and restaurant screaming n yelling. So between crappy pizza n lousy service awful cook we couldn’t leave quick enough. What can I say, it’s Boston pizza. You get a decent amount of food for the cost but the bar is on the ground. Won’t be disappointed if you keep your expectations realistic, the inside of the location is very nice.

The worst Boston Pizza I've ever been to in the lower mainland. I'm a huge Boston Pizza fan but this location is just unacceptable. I can't believe they would serve a burger that was clearly burnt...Whoever is the head chef at this location needs to be fired immediately for poor quality ... control. This gives Boston Pizza a bad name. Through all the years I've visited and eaten at different Boston Pizza restaurants...this location is just terrible. The photo says it all. Completely burnt buns and dry patty. Even the sweet potato fries was just lackluster...super tiny portion for $3-4 more...definitely not worth it. 👎👎👎 EDIT: AVOID BOSTON PIZZA. This was all time stamped for accuracy Tuesday May 28 6:15- Arrived and asked if we can watch basketball 6:29- game put on. Asked if we wanted to order. Said needed a minute. 6:50- 2 tables of 6 who walked in after us (2 seat) had their order taken. Knowing 12 people served before ... us (maybe more) we figured we weren't getting our food until 7:30 which would be much to long Left without ordering Please either train staff to check up on tables and have some form of urgency. I haven’t been to Boston pizza in years… until recently. Luckily I wasn’t missing out. The jambalaya pasta lacked flavour and as a lazy home cook I’ve made way better pastas at home. The cactus potatoes were just glorified soggy potato chips but the dip was pretty delicious. The panookie ... def saved the day, it was yummy but a bit crispy around the edges and I tend to prefer a softer cookie. They also seemed understaffed. Prob won’t be back for another 5 years.
