Denny’s - Burnaby, British Columbia

A lovely North American Diner, every time I come here I am reminded that this is the perfect place to stop by and grab a bite to eat if you are a frequent traveler. The 24/7 hours of operation is great, and although I tend to come at least once ... every year on my birthday (to take advantage of the free Grand Slam), I am always surprised how often the quality of the food changes. I remember when the Grand Slam all came in one big plate but nowadays, it looks like the portions have shrunk! The service was great, they are attentive and surprisingly speak many different languages to accommodate all patrons. Going for breakfast, the service was quick despite ordering dishes not typically associated with Breakfast. I do miss the Potato Wedges for french fries but I would recommend upgrading to try their seasoned fries (if you're a fan of salty fries). Read more

We don't visit Denny's very often but the food is usually pretty decent. Often times, the dishes look much better on their menu tho. Tried their oven baked lasagna... it was a bit overly salty. I didn't mind the country fried steak but the gravy needed to be thicker and also ... more of it. The mac and cheese had no texture to it at all and was just very soft (albeit creamy). Good concepts for menu items but could use some work on execution. Read more

Celebrated my birthday here at Denny’s! There was a bit of a line up as it is the Canada Day weekend but we were seated within 20mins. Our server is Karen who is super efficient and checked in with us a few times despite it being a busy lunch hour! ... Food was prepared fresh and quickly! Read more

This DENNY’S has been around forever and the service is still great as it was years ago. Super friendly waitress, great service and great food. It gets quite busy nonetheless we didn’t wait at all for a table and waited a short time for our breakfast.

The Missus and I along with family members have visited this Denny's location a number of times. We have celebrated the free birthday meals and enjoyed the 55+ options. You can't go wrong with their signature slam and breakfast dishes. Service is always fast and the food comes quickly. Food ... taste is above average to diner standards. Parking is readily available in the back. Read more
