Swiss Chalet - Brantford, Ontario

My husband daughter and I decided to visit Swiss chalet in Brantford today. Unfortunately we were disappointed when we were seated at a dirty table. After being seated we waited close to 10 minutes before our server came to take our drink order. We ordered the garlic cheese bread for ... an appetizer which came back the cheese still not fully melted and cold in the middle. My husband and I ordered ribs and chicken. The ribs weren’t great and in my opinion tasted freezer burnt or old. My husbands chicken was dry. Our server however was nice. With that being said we won’t be going back to Swiss chalet again. Great place to stop on our way through town. Denise was a fantastic server. We spit a Caesar salad to start, followed by piping hot fries and juicy chicken, served with our favourite steaming hot chalet sauce. Denise was friendly and attentive. We had a very nice dining experience tonight. The chicken was perfect not dry as anticipated. Service was great ~ thanks to our waiter, Joe. He was friendly, very attentive and was quick to respond to our needs. I do not usually write reviews but Joe needs ... to be commended for his excellent hospitality skills. Swiss Chalet has really stepped up its game lately. Thoroughly enjoyed our recent lunch here. Service from Joe G was excellent and food was exceptional. Used our CAA for free app- spring rolls were good. Festive Special with Caesar salad was done perfectly, as was the hot chicken sandwich- portions ... generous and delicious. Read more

My first time at this chain of restaurants and came here purely because of the advertising on the TV, as I thought the beef looked 'yummy'. That was not the case and this was one of the very few times when trying the food and from the first bites I ... realised I do not like it, even though they brought it without the 'sauce' as I asked. The veggies were all cooked, which again I do not like and they do not have fresh veggies. The only thing I ate completely as I was falling sick was their bun bread. My other half, who likes this kind of meals was not impressed either, yet he finishes his meal - as men tend to do, don't they? If we are to return probably I will stick to the chicken, but only if they have fresh veggies. Read more
