I recently visited Anna Lakshmi, an authentic South Indian restaurant, and was delighted by the flavors! The Curd Vada was exceptional, transporting me back to my childhood with its authentic taste. The Khuska Rice was a highlight, with its perfect blend of spice and traditional Velankanni aroma that left me ... craving for more. Be sure to take a moment to appreciate the aroma before digging in. While the Rose Milk was too sweet for my taste, the Biriyani Combo was decent, albeit a tad spicier than expected. The Raitha was a bit bland, but the accompanying pickle and warm Gulab Jamun (with just the right amount of sweetness) made up for it. The Butter Paper Dosa was a standout, with its crispy, buttery flavor that left me wanting more. However, the Mysore Dosa was a bit of a letdown, with too much masala overpowering the delicate flavor of the dosa itself. Unfortunately, the dining atmosphere fell short. The seats and tables need upgrading for comfort, and the washrooms and toilets require immediate attention for cleanliness. The south Indian food here is really good. No background music here, so you can feel the peace here and observe the other guests. the service here is so good. the Girl name Charmi serves us she is really polite and explained us everything we ask. we ordered gobi Manchurian ... and onion masala dosa here. the gobi Manchurian is so good. its above my expectations. and the onion dosa is also realy good. in the drink masala soda and mango shake is really good. overall experience is good. and the washrooms here is also clean. This place had been my go to place for dosa’s, idli, uttapam and many more appetisers. I am regular at this place since 2019 and it’s been 5 years and I have no complaints. Food is not only value for money but is one of the best. I have tried many ... places in Mississuaga and Brampton for Dosas. Being a spice lover I found many good options here my go to dosa are - madras dosa, chilly garlic dosa and mysore dosa (with masala and onion) for me. Sambhar tastes so authentic. And not only dosas puri channa and gobi chettinad and rasam and tomato soup will take you back to india and its authenticity. Must go and a highly recommended dine out place.
