Once my go to Mexican restaurant. The service is okay, the servers are nice but when it's busy it is hard to get their attention. Food is inconsistent. I always get the same thing, fried fish tacos, yet they are different every time. Sometimes you get big pieces of fish, ... lots of garnish and sauce, very tasty. Other times it's barely anything and the tacos taste bland. Once ordered for pickup and they forgot my guac not to mention that the tacos were packaged upside down so everything spilled out once I opened it. I called in and let them know. The next time I returned all they did was discount the meal 4 dollars. I used to be a regular, not anymore. Read more
Went in after placing an order over the phone, they said 20 minutes it would be ready. I come in after half an hour of placing the order and I had to wait for an hour and a half just to get my order. Biggest waste of my time. Most ... of the people in the restaurant didn't even get served yet either, I looked around and everyone had empty plates. Very slow and disappointing service. People even starting leaving because the wait was too long. They really need more staff to fulfill high demand and when they do, this review will change. But for now, this rating stands. Also another thing I wanted to share some insight on is the cleanliness of the restaurant. The floors were sticky and it made me feel like I was in a public washroom. The spacing between tables were kind of tight and didn't have much room to walk in between tables especially when it's packed. However, the fish tacos I ordered were delicious but definitely not worth the hour and a half wait. Read more
Great food and atmosphere. The live music on Saturday night was great and made us feel like we weren't in brampton. Great place.
I've been here three or four times now and it's been great each time. I tried a different dish each time and so far liked everything I've had. I recommend the mole sauce, if you have never had it ask for a sample as it's a unique flavour that might ... not appeal to everyone. The only issue I have with this place is the live music. It creates a great atmosphere but can be a bit loud if you are wanting to have a conversation with your friends. Read more
Like all places, there are pros and cons. For me, the pros highly outweigh the cons. Cons: they were out of chicken. Fine by me, that's not what I wanted to order, but if my wife wanted chicken we would have been screwed. Good ... thing she was in a fish taco kind of mood. Also, service staff is slightly inattentive. Not rude or insulting, just inattentive. Pros: fantastic food. Largest fish tacos I've ever had (and I've had them coast to coast in US and Canada- they're usually my go to). Quantity matched quality- light flaky fish, well seasoned and battered. Optimum crispness to contrast the moist fish. Topped with a great slaw. They forgot my limes, but they were brought once requested. Octopus tacos were EXCELLENT. Not overcooked (as octopus more often times than not, is). Slightly salty, but very flavourful and satisfying. CORN TORTILLAS. I cannot stress this enough- if you're serving tacos and your only option is a flour tortilla, then you need to re-evaluate something. This place serves them on corn tortillas. I'm a happy guy. This place has earned a high rating from me and is truly a gem in Brampton's somewhat lacking foodie scene. Read more
