Henry’s Fish & Chips - Brampton, Ontario

Had an amazing fish Cod and chips, so good! The fish was perfectly cooked, the chips were to die for and the tartar sauce was out of this world. The staff was very sweet and gave great service.

For over two decades, I'd enjoyed dining in and taking out from Henry's. Phenomenal fish and chips every time, and a great friendly staff. About five or six years ago, that changed when I and a friend went in to find what seemed to be new ownership/management. Ordered my favourite ... fish and chips plate. Buried beneath my chips, I found a long black hair. I took it to the serving counter to bring it to the attention of the staff. No apology. No offer to replace the meal. So we paid for our meals and quietly left. One week later, we went back, thinking, it was a one off. This time I checked the plate as soon as it came to the table. Same problem. A long black hair under the food. Maybe this was the new house special. No offer from waiting staff to correct the problem this time either, even as it was shown in real time to them. We didn't pay for the meal this time, but left it on the table. Avoid this place. It was a business with integrity and a name once, but in my opinion, that is not the case any longer. Read more

Well... I can't tell you how the food tastes, but I can tell you the service is horrible. I walked in, had to seat myself and then what..... Wait for nothing. The waitress stood right next to my table twice. At no time did she offer me a menu, tell me she'll ... be with me in a moment or any sort of customer service. Beyond that we made direct eye contact three times as I sat there for ten minutes before I got up and left. It's also worth noting that other people came into the restaurant after me and the waitress seemed to recognize their presence. First it's advised, for our overall health, not to eat brown, deep fried food but what the hell! Henry's got fish, fried fish and its good. I feel it will provide most fish n chip fans their fix. I'm more of leafy green guy so I won't be returning but you go ... at it! Read more
