Shaker’s Diner - Bobcaygeon, Ontario

I loved eating here ! Food was delicious,especially the home-cut fries ! Service was also wonderful! I will definitely go back for a quick lunch .

When we walked into this place every table but the one we sat at was dirty and covered with the dishes from the previous customers. Our waitress greeted us and we told her we would like to place our order she told us that others were ahead of us(oh ... that was the table beside us with there menus opened?) Food was good, service was excellent. Our breakfast came piping hot and exactly what we ordered! Would go again for sure. Only reason I don't give 5 stars is because I found it to be on the bland side. A bit more flavour would be good!

Excellent service! Food was ok, but the service is where this diner shines. The server was so friendly and accommodating. Would definitely return! A few more vegetarian options would be ideal.

We stopped in here today for brunch and weren't impressed despite their 5 star reviews. The waitress was poorly dressed in very casual attire.. it looked like pajamas. No uniforms, which is a shame because it would make quite the difference. Every table there was dirty and you had to ... be seated at them before they got wiped down. We ordered coffees to start and they were delivered without cream or spoons-and didn't return with them. We had to go up and ask for them. She only gave us creamers and came a minute later with our spoons which I assume had to quickly be washed because they were still wet and she plunked them into our cups without us seeing them.. Food came, which was pretty much cold..again no cutlery. Waitress said she would bring them in a minute then proceeded to wipe down tables, cash out customers and then deliver our forks and knives after.. Which again were all wet and she placed them in one big pile on our table and took off. We witnessed 3 other tables go through the exact same silverware problem. No spoons, no forks and knives when the food was delivered. So it was not a fluke.. also Needless to say, we will never be returning. Read more
