Saigon Delights - Beaumont, Alberta

We absolutely love this place! We have been going since before COVID hit and the food is fantastic. Consistent, delicious and fun place to visit.

The owner is very rude. The rudest around the Edmonton area. The pho is very small and expensive. The taste is far away from away from others that I always going in Edmonton. The restaurant is dark and old. Do not go to the restaurant, your mood will be influenced.

I've enjoyed the food here previously, atmosphere and service only so so. Today I tried to order for pick up, man who answered the phone couldn't be bothered to help me. Ended up going elsewhere and won't return, too bad.

Tried this place on a recommendation, we walked in and the owner (older gentlemen) I presume just stared at us. I pointed to a table and nothing, said for 2 please and he said pick wherever. This place is dark inside and the booths are old and duct-taped together. He ... came by, dropped off menus and walked away. Maybe it is just him, but zero friendliness or customer service. He came, took our order (was very rushed) food came, it was fine, sauce is in little packets and limited to 2 of each. Simple pho and satay and the price was okay. We sat for a while waiting for him to come over, but he was sitting on his phone behind the desk. We went up to pay and ask for take out containers for our left overs and he was visibly annoyed that we even asked. He charged us for the containers and just stared at us again. We promptly cleaned up and left. We will not be back. We were hoping since this was close it would work for a great option as we love veitnamese food, but we will continue to go to the various edmonton restaurants with better customer service, atmosphere and food. We weren't looking for a smiling, bubbly host, but at least someone who didn't feel annoyed they had to work and get off their phone. Much better places out there! Read more

They have decent spring rolls that tastes the same as most other Vietnamese restaurants (basic, nothing special) however their meat was just okay, nothing to wow me in any way. The size of the platter was okay in the sense of the noodles but the amount of meat you receive ... is definitely nowhere near most other places that I've gone. The shrimp was probably the tastiest part of it, and it took my boyfriend a significant amount of bites in to realize that there was even cucumber and I don't believe the carrots were pickled at all. The price we paid for the meat we received definitely didn't equal out. It's difficult to return to a place like this when I can get a mountain of meat and a container twice the size for the same price at a different location and be blown away by the taste. Read more
