Ko Hyang House - Barrie, Ontario

There are few Korean restaurant in Barrie and they definitely missed their opportunity. The food are a bit salty and it's not as pictured in their menu. Some of them taste the same, although it's a totally different menu. My biggest disappointment was the shumai dumpling, it looks nothing like ... the menu, so tiny and taste like paper. It was certainly different from what I expected. Very beautiful and simple setting, very large meal portions so order with care🤣😊. The food was good but I also think I built the experience up in my head and was disappointed that it didn't meet my expectations. Overall a good experience ... though and pleasant staff/service. Great place for Asian comfort food in Barrie. We've been here a few times and enjoyed Tom Yom Goong Noodle Soup, Angus Beef Pho, the appetizer platter, Crispy Beef, Hai Nam Chicken with rice, and Gamjitang (Korean pork bone soup). The food was amazing and the staff were so friendly and attentive. Big portions, fair prices, and very clean restaurant. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful restaurant with lots of space for social distance and plenty of daylight. They even have a separate half closed rooms for a private dining. The server was wonderful and welcoming. The menu is very clear with a great description of the meals a pictures so it is easy to ... choose your meal even if you are not very familiar with Korean cuisine. The dishes tasted fabulous!
