Nice & traditional. Gotta start with the bread/bun when it comes to Italian sandwiches, this fella don’t disappoint. Ordered the classic veal & added the provolone, mushrooms, onions (surprised you have to pay extra for it. Lost a star cuz of it)... The veal was thin and properly breaded. The tomato sauce ... was nice and the provolone was mild and perfectly melted. The guy knows his Italian sandwiches. When you want authentic Italian sandwiches, you go to Woodbridge. The food is fantastic... usually. However, I am unimpressed with the service I received today. The girls behind the counter didn't even look at me for a good 5 minutes before saying 3 times "we'll be with you shortly" without making eye contact... I placed my order... And then I repeated my order ... to the other girl... And finally, after I get home to eat with my family... I have to go out and buy mozzarella cheese because instead of spreading it over the whole sandwich like a normal person.. it's in a clump in the middle. I don't think I would be so angry if the customer service wasn't so terrible. After that experience, I would recommend the Italian bakery. Read more
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SAN FRANCISCO SANDWICHES. I only hate how far out this place is in Barrie. They need to open one on the south end of town. I would eat there more often if it was closer. The service, and staff are great. Always very friendly and helpful. ... AND the steak sandwiches are amazing! I have read some of these reviews, and I have never had a problem. My family of 6 gets pulled pork, veal and the steak sandwiches and they are always meaty and taste amazing. Don't listen to the negative reviews, give this place a try. My only downside to this place is the location, wish it was closer. Read more
