Atmosphere is nice and very clean. The sushi taste is really good. The reason for only 2 stars the the service. The server was very friendly but did not speak very good English which lead to confusion. Our dinner came with a salad that we did not receive when I ... asked at the end she said sorry do you still want it. When asking for a refill she forgot and had to ask again also you have to pay for a refill. We asked for spicy maki set with no tuna and salmon instead the brought out no tuna but California roll instead. We told the server and her response was this is more expensive we told her we didn't care and wanted the salmon instead she then replied with the sushi bar is busy though. My wife's meal red curry Thai came out 10 min before mine which was disappointing. Overall we had a bad experience customer service wise but the food is amazing. We still will be back but hopefully our next experience is better. This place would Benefit from servers that can understand a little better or if there not sure ask someone else. Read more

This place USE to be my go to place for amazing sushi but in the last year it has been rather disappointing. As we entered the building we weren't greeted so we took it upon ourselves to pick a seat. The waitress came over and told us we would have to ... wait 40 min if we were going to have sushi and walked away (not offering any drinks or meaus). We waited for about 20 min for her to return so we could order pad Thai, 30 mins of being completely ignored, we decided to leave and go somewhere that would actually serve us. A week later my husband wanted to try again cause he knew how much I loved the place, once again we were not greeted and the rude waitress we had the last time came over and told us that it would be 40 min if we wanted sushi, once again without giving us a meau or asking if we'd like anything to start off with. My husband wanted to just wait it out and had no problem with waiting for the sushi but after about 15min our waitress didn't bother to return. I got fed up and said it wasn't even worth waiting on the sushi if the waitress could carless if we ordered or not. the only reason I'm giving this restaurant two stars is because of this waitress. The food is amazing and the owner is a super nice guy ! we would have had no problem waiting for the chief to make their delicious sushi if only the waitress would have given us a chance to order. This is the best Sushi place in Barrie since Monsoon closed. It's more than sushi. They have incredible authentic Asian cuisine of all types. It's fast, fresh and and tastes amazing. I was concerned at first when I saw it was dead inside and a help wanted sign posted on the front door but those fears were put aside when I tasted the sushi. One of my favorite place to eat in Barrie. If you like sushi get the Caterpillar Maki it is delicious. Service is great and atmosphere is nice.
