My husband went to this location to order dinner. He purchased Tai Dop, Egg Roll, and Won Ton soup. The soup was very bland. The egg roll was ok. But he could not eat the the Tai Dop and attempted to return the whole container ... the next day. The dish, as per their menu, did not contain any snow peas or shrimp and was tasteless. The person who he reported this too did offer to add snow peas (at this point the dish is 18 hours old). My husband asked for a refund for the dish but was refused. He left the dish with them and promised them he would not return. In the past, this restaurant had high reviews but is continuously going downhill now so we will seek another restaurant for future Chinese takeout. Read more

Worse experience and product AGAIN!! Ordered chicken with diced vegetables and almonds. When I opened the container it had One piece of broccoli, 3 thin slices of carrots, a few pieces of celery and 99 percent onions. My first time trying chen’s and I was pleasantly surprised. I haven’t been able to find a good Chinese place in Barrie but Chens is amazing. I had the dinner combo and for around $11 there was some real weight to the portion size. I was very pleased that they ... use the big chicken balls (not the tiny little gross ones) & the rice was good and not dry like most places. I also tried the szecheun chicken which had a really nice flavour, chicken was moist and the spice to it was excellent. I will for sure go back and recommend to others. Read more

Chef chan has been my go to Chinese food restaurant in Barrie for the last 5 years. Always consistent, great service, and amazing food. I highly recommend them if you’re in the area!
