British Arms Pub - Barrie, Ontario

I was amazed at how good the quality of the food was. The chef deserves a compliment. The Reuben was amazing! I would definitely order again.

This place is the reason I still go out at all The staff are great, the music is 70% good and Paulie (security/door) will kick you out with grace 🤣. If you're going downtown to drink these guys are the best all around bar by-far.

This was our first time going and we really enjoyed it. We went late at night, getting there around midnight. Even though the pub is open until 2 am, the kitchen closes about 12:50 am. If you're wanting to dine late, keep that in mind. We ordered the jumbo Yorkshire pudding ... stuffed with Shepherd's pie and split between two people. The portion size was quite large, enough to split, or to have for one person if you're a big eater. The pastry was a little overdone, but the filling was tasty, and the fries were very delicious. The waitress, Kat, was friendly and accommodating. She seemed to be a little swamped, so the service was sometimes a little slow, but when she was attending us, she was fully focused on helping us, taking our order, etc. Overall, I would go back. They are one of the best pub in Downtown Barrie. The place is pretty calm and comfortable with a warm and welcoming hostess. It was quite late when we arrived at the pub and were instantly hooked to the atmosphere. We ordered pineapple screwdriver to get started with which ... was an absolute gem. Then we ordered loaded perogies poutine and garlic-Parm wings with a basket of white wine mussels. Wings and mussels were delicious and portion sizes were huge but the perogies were quite soggy and bland. Would recommend if you wanna have a nice time drinking but little skeptic about dining in. The $4 Sunday Caesar was AMAZING 🥓👌🏼Nice tall glass with a proper rim and delicious crispy, flavourful candied bacon for a garnish (plus a bean) 😜 Pictured below: 🇬🇧 Yorkshire pudding with stuffed mash potatoes, roast beef, and mushrooms in gravy. Asparagus on the side. 🇬🇧 Buffalo chicken burger with fries 🇬🇧 B.A. Burger ... with poutine All of our meals were absolutely delicious. Fries were nice and crispy and Yorkshire pudding was on point 👌🏼 Our server was an absolute gem, very knowledge of the entire menu and recommending various items (she could have been the owner, possibly?)
