Had a great night out there with our work and atmosphere is great and staff was very friendly and bartender was very good, even no I don’t drink alcohol he always made sure my pop was full without even having to ask. Excellent job, sorry I didn’t get his name ... to get him some recognition. Read more
A burger place on a diet? Yes. You can eat healthy here and have tasty options without a lot of bread! I tend to watch the amount of grains I consume so I asked for the Kenzington Burger without the bun. And, instead of fries, a side salad was an ... option. It was loaded with red cabbage and cucumber. The salad substitution and extra dressing were provided at no extra charge. (More and more of a rarity.) The burger was actually two hand-pressed patties, set on red onion and lettuce. While my photo doesn’t show the patties, they were thin, but large, nicely grilled and full of flavour. One of my dining companions ordered the Cobb Salad, which was generously portioned, beautifully plated, and something I will definitely order next time. We dined here for lunch, and we had a full table of 14 ladies. Our server was attentive and friendly. And, if you want a spot for a larger group, being seated in the back room allowed us sufficient room to spread out, and actually hear the conversation at the table. For those of us born and raised in Barrie, who remember these properties on Dunlop Street in all their iterations through the years, I felt the “history of the building” in the original wood staircase, painted tin ceiling, and exposed brick. I will definitely be back. Read more
We went to this restaurant on a very cold, snowy day. It was just the two of us in the restaurant, so we enjoyed our meal while chatting. The staff didn't disturb us or rush us to leave, making the experience very comfortable. I ordered a Rodeo burger with grilled ... cheese + bacon. It's so delicious. Read more
Came here on a busy Saturday night after snowboarding. We were given the options to sit at the bar or at the back. We chose the back not realizing it was literally in front of the male restroom. There was a row of tables that were empty; we felt they ... could've just separated one table out for us. We ordered two burgers and asked for no onions on one of them. The burgers came with lots of onions anyway. We both ordered the grilled cheese bun option and agreed Burger Priest does it better. Flavors didn't impress us either. +1 for the pickle spear on top though because I love pickles. +1 for the fries as well; they were all nice and crispy. The default tips were 20% and 25%. The lady was holding onto the machine which makes it kinda awkward to select custom % (I don't recall seeing that option because it felt rushed). 2 burgers, fried cheese curds, and a flight of beer ended up being 105 CAD total. Actual highway robbery here lol. Read more
