Vistas Dining Room - Banff, Alberta

Went for dinner here last Saturday night. We try to make a point of trying somewhere new to eat each time we go to Banff. This place did not disappoint! A stunning restaurant with amazing views. We had the buffet for $44/ person today. The view was stunning but the feel was like a university cafetière and the buffet was average, little variety, very boring, high carb options rice and potatoes, just one hot vegetable medley, and one meat dish only, pork chops of a ... low quality and cold! We were lucky to have salt and pepper on the table..the coffee was weak and the desserts were finished well before the buffet closed and not refilled when we asked. Avoid it for the food. One of the Best places to dine In Banff. Great view of the valley durronded by the mountains and awesome service on top. Executive buffet excellent wine selection and also fine dining at Three Ravens.

The food was so bad. My family and I visited this “ all you can eat” restaurant as part of our visit to Banff. The food was so limited. For appetizers the only available options were mashed potatoes, steamed corn, and tofu stuffed portobello mushrooms. Nothing special about any of ... them. Main courses were horrible. There was some sort of cod fish available but it was way too salty that we couldn’t eat the rest after taking a bite. The duck lasagna was at best a 5/10 and the chicken was extermely dry. The tomato soup was very bland and the salads including the pasta and beans salad were rotten and felt like leftovers from last night. The deserts and service were okay hence the 2 stars. The view was also fantastic and all non-alcoholic drinks were included. Keep in mind, you pay for the food upon entering the restaurants which is uncommon . If you are going for the view, definitely go for it but if you are going for the food AVOID at all costs since my family and I left this “ all you can eat” restaurant hungry. Read more

Unforgettable food - Unforgettable view I’m at the Banff Centre for meetings every couple years and have been coming for 18 years and the Vista Dining room is what wows our groups each time. Creative food, every day! Even the eggs each morning are so consistent: Creamy, fluffy, heaven. They often make fresh ice ... cream, it is always unforgettable. The staff are so polite and hospitable. But here’s the thing - it’s called “Vistas” for a reason. Good gracious that view!!!! There’s a walkway outside the main doors coming in and each day, I love to watch people pause, look at the view and it’s so clear that in that moment they are grateful to be alive. *Secret tip if you’re in a big group. They put down pitchers of ice tea and lemonade but if you want a soda, just ask. Most people figure this out after a couple days. Let me save you that time. Read more
