The Maple Leaf - Banff, Alberta

We had a fantastic meal at The Maple Leaf. It is located at Banff Avenue and Caribou and is steps away from Banff bus route 1. We had the Alberta Beef Tenderloin ( served with mashed potatoes and mushrooms) and the Maple Leaf Cesar salad. We split these two ... and had plenty of food. We had a nice white wine with our meal. It was a Flat Rock Cellars, Chardonnay, Niagara Peninsula, ON. For dessert, we had the Toffey Sticky Pudding. It is served with vanilla ice cream and two strawberry slices. It was delicious! Just had the best steak in my life.. so tender and juicy, a must try. The waitress recommended the Alberta Beef Tenderloin as the bison was sold out. Was so glad to have went with her recommendation. Will be back again :)

We had a road trip to Banff with our dogs and had lunch at The Maple Leaf. There were seatings outside for us and the staff was very nice and really catered to all our needs including the dogs. They provided a dog water bowl and some dog ... cookies for our dogs. Food was really nice as well. We had the smoked salmon egg Benedict and fish and chips. Was definitely an enjoyable lunch! We went in for a meal after a big day biking to Johnson falls. We were hungry. We ordered the fish and chips and a burger. The burger was really good and tasted great. This meal was to die for ! The service so welcoming , warm, polite ,helpful, friendly and accommodating. Thank you so much for a delightful dining experience for my wife and I visiting from Adelaide Australia. You have topped off our specials day in Bannf. Our meals were absolutely ... delicious. First time tasting bison which was tastie. The Salmon presented on tender asparagus and a bed of mash potatoes was scrumptious. Then desert of creme caramel had a golden thin crust which cracked through to a smooth melt in your mouth custard. And wine !! Well I thought South Australia was the red wine capital for great wine at a fraction of French prices but tonight we tasted Canadian Shiraz!.
