Stopped in for brunch on a weekday on the way to Jasper. Enjoyed the juniper burger and smashed avocado toast. Both were served with piping hot delicious brown butter potatoes. Good sized portion. Server was friendly and checked in often. Lots of seating and many windows. Great spot to stop ... that is away from the crowds in town. Read more
Good food, beautiful views and personalized hospitality by Clarence. Their Shakshuka and stuffed French toast are a must try esp. if you want to experiment. Happy with the overall experience, definitely 5 stars. Will visit again, soon.
The food here was the best food we had in Banff. We had dinner which was delicious. It was an expensive meal for us ($100, no drinks) as it's recommended to order 4-5 plates for 2 people to share. It was genuinely amazing. They gave us a free dessert as ... well for our anniversary. Breakfast, I had the French toast which was hands down, my favorite meal on our trip. My husband got the smoked salmon , which was good as well. We found the server very overbearing and pushy. He promised us a free dessert, but never followed through (I'm assuming because we got a free dessert the previous night, but he just didn't follow up). He offered to take photos of us outside , never followed through. We asked if we could have scrambled eggs instead of poached eggs and he said "if you want to change what's on the menu, you should've stayed at home". That's why my husband got the smoked salmon, which isn't what he wanted to get. He was very pushy for a 5 star review. The views are amazing. And I loved sitting by the fire. Read more
Had a nice breakfast at The Juniper. The views are obviously spectacular but the restaurant itself is lacking that cozy little mountain charm you would expect. The food was good, not excellent, lacking flavor overall and scrambled eggs were watery. Amazing bread and fruit, large portions. Very nice presentation with ... the stone dishes. We were also asked by our server to leave a 5 star review as others have noted. The patio was gorgeous even in winter, worth a visit for the experience. Read more
We came to Juniper Bistro one of our first nights in Banff. Eliza was our server and she was amazingly attentive. Everything we ordered was expertly presented, fresh and delicious. You could see the attention to detail though every step of our experience there. We loved it so much we ... came back a second night! This time Ray was our server and she was great as well and the food again was perfection. Highly recommend! Read more
