We always try to find a great local eatery in our travels that is moderately priced. This place is right on target! Jason was our server and he was absolutely fantastic. We had the elk burger and the oarsman, which is flatbread with braised elk. We added the poutine as a ... side and small salads. We had a late dinner here on our first night in Banff. The atmosphere was hopping as a playoff hockey game and a playoff basketball game were both on. We still got a great little table by the windows. The service was friendly and helpful with suggestions. Everything looked so ... good, so I needed some guidance! I ended up going with the elk tacos starter and garden salad. Tacos were delicious and the perfect size for an appetizer (4 small). The salad had a really good vinaigrette and quality veggies. Happy Hour, happy belly! Our Sunshine Village guide suggested the elk and oarsman happy hour to us. Said it was a great Banff experience. After not being able to be seated due to a buyout we came back on our last day for happy hour. Seated with no ... wait we each ordered a beverage. The strawberry smash was great.
