Sushi T&T - Ajax, Ontario

I stopped by for a quick lunch and I wasn't disappointed. Both the service and sushi were great.

After looking for a decent sushi place in Ajax we found this small and quaint Japanese sushi restaurant on our weekly shopping route. I looked at some of the reviews, and decided for a sudden dinner plan on Sunday evening. The place was not too busy, It’s a very small ... restaurant but neat and clean. Service was quick and the food was delicious. We ordered some of the house special rolls and chicken Katsu curry with rice. Portion sizes and overall cost are reasonable. Their tempura is a must try! The batter is really good and it's just on point! I recommend trying their lotus root tempura,who would have known lotus root can be this good. Absolutely phenomenal sushi, best in the GTA out of the 40+ places I tried. Ingredients are always fresh, the rolls are perfectly sized. The ratio of ingredients is also perfect. You cannot find better sushi than this other than Japan. Sushi T&T has been consistently superb for the 5+ years I ... have known it. The other reviews say the service is bad but I haven't experienced this. In fact, the waitresses have been very nice. Came back here after years away. We moved out of the area, but we happened to come out this way and just had to stop by again. I was reminded why we loved this place. It's cozy and quaint, and the service is still excellent. We were greeted and seated immediately. ... There were four other tables... two couples, a younger couple with their young daughter, and a big table of 8. We went with AYCE and got right to ordering appetizers. They served us really quickly and everything was fresh and tasty. Their selection is admittedly a bit limited, but what they do have, they do really well, so we did not mind at all. I mainly had sushi and sashimi, and really enjoyed myself, though their tempura and grilled items were also very good. The fish was fresh and the rice was nicely seasoned. The portions were perfect. They also have good attention to detail. Everything was nicely presented. Even the water had lemon slices. Those little touches say a lot. It's also worth mentioning that they have a nice big unisex accessible washroom. It was very clean and bright, yet did not smell overpoweringly of cleaner. We were actually seated near the bathroom and that's always a concern for me. Not here. Nicest bathroom at a regular restaurant I've been to ever actually. I highly recommend! I wish we lived closer.
