Always busy! Just shows how tasty of a place this is. Curbs all the cravings. Usually I opt for the cone or sundae. Sometimes it's hard to decide on the spot with other customers waiting

This place has a good selection of ice cream, including Kawartha Dairy ice cream. It is a little dated and could use an update but that’s probably a comment for the entire plaza. When I came here last Friday, the girl who served me and my mom was super pleasant. I ... asked for samples, and she was super apologetic about their no sample policy. I missed the sign, that’s on me, but also an ice cream shop with no samples? I understand limiting the number, but none seems a bit extreme. Anyway, as she was scooping our ice cream, the manager/owner was criticizing her for making the scoops too large RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. He was honestly being kind of rude about it, shaking his head and scoffing. It wasn’t done supportively, like if you were coaching someone new. Not only was it stingy behaviour, it was also unprofessional talking to her like that at all, much less in front of customers. TL;DR: Employee on Friday night was lovely, we enjoyed the ice cream, but the owner/manager soured the experience. Read more

First time visiting for the year. Tried the Wolf Paws flavour, great combination of ingredients. It appear there are new owners of this establishment. Great selection of flavors, most are Kawartha ice cream. Prices fairly reasonable. The courtyard behind the ice cream shop really needs an uplift to be more inviting for ... families and some of the interlocking stones are raises. This place is one of the best ice cream places in Ajax. Every time we go there we pick a different flavour so we can try new stuff. One time we ordered the strawberry sorbet for my daughter and it was AMAZING!!! This time the salted Caramel truffle flavour blew ... up my mind. It was unreal and definitely worth the try! What made it even tastier were the small pieces of chocolate truffle in it which were actually incredible!!! I ordered the big scoop and there was a good amount of truffle in it. Ordered large special (waffle cone with slight chocolate dip) - raspberry cheesecake ice cream. 6.75$ The entrance is at the back - with the exit being at the front of the store. The location was clean but no hand sanitizers anywhere and not sure how often it was being wiped down. The ice ... cream itself was okay. It was a fairly small scoop compared to the size of the cone and the special cone could use more chocolate and be crispier. You are probably just better off getting the regular cone. Overall ice cream was okay not as extravagant as I was expecting based on other reviews. the location surrounding and sites of the historic building is really what made this experience nice. Read more
