I've been going to Texas Burger for decade's. It's a certain craving you get. Paul used to cook up the best patties and chicken souvlaki. Andrew is always so friendly and good for a laugh and always complimentary! I'm sorry to say though, my last few visits have been disappointing. I ... paid almost $5.00 for premium toppings. I expect premium knife skills. Not only does this poor craftsmanship take away from the taste, it makes me feel like the preparation was not done with care or love. If these onions were meant to be made into rings, put them in a seperate container. I want sauteed onions to be a carmelized pile of delicious flavors, not crunchy, skin still on thick rings. If you see a tired, limp tomato in the prep station, toss it out and give me a proper slice! This was so old the seeds were almost all gone! Look at my total! That's pretty pricey for two Burger's, and I'm ok with paying for quality, but I didn't get that this visit. We didn't get fries this time, and if I go back I hope they haven't changed too. Never would I have normally stopped here, but my co-workers introduced me to a long time gem that's been here in Ajax for decades! I'm in Toronto/ajax for a week. I did my research and decided to try Texas Burger. I ordered the Texas Burger 10 ounce, onion rings, and a drink. The price tag was $27. I did not find anything special about this burger. Because I ordered the 10 ounce Burger the ... Patty was very big. The Patty did not have any taste. Nothing about this meal stood out to me. I also ordered bacon cheese as an add-on. As you can see in the pictures it was not worth it. It tasted so plain that i did not want to finish it. I feel I could have spent my money somewhere else and got better value for my meal. There was nothing wrong with the food other than it was overpriced. And very generic. Nothing special here.
