The food and service have been excellent the few times we've been here. Last visit, they were serving fries from Souris, P.E.I. where one of my Grandmother's was born. But I have one major criticism. Some of the signs on the walls are old and American. 2022? Sure ... you are proud of great reviews. But 22 years is older than the person who served us. Peanut warning? It should be clear. I love the fact they have free peanuts in the shell to keep customers busy while waiting and peanut oil on display to answer the question before someone would ask. Bravo. Excellent place and open late. Read more
I have been a couple of times now. This is one hell of a burger place. I particularly enjoy how fresh, delicious, and high quality the condiments on the burger are, especially the cheese. This is some excellent cheese. It beats the hell out of the "kraft ... singles" that get thrown on your food at 90% of burger joints. The burger reaches a whole other level just by the cheese alone. I've also had the poutine and just plain fries. The fries are perfectly done. Nice and crispy, fat, and excellently salted. I recommend just eating regular fries. They are that good. If you crave burgers and fries, this establishment will never disappoint. Read more
Surprised to come across 5 Guys Burger location. Had the try the hype as I have heard their burgers are delightful. Ordered a hamburger, bacon burger and medium fries. Was excited to have home cut fries, I was expecting the same quality as Montreal's double cooked home cut fries they turned ... out to be nothing special. Hamburgers were freshly cooked to order with the option of free topping how ever one wanted their burger dressed. The taste of the burger was beef as expected, it could have used some seasoning prior to its assembly. Added my own salt and pepper during consumption. Location has lots of parking, FREE roasted/salted peanuts, decent interior design, and service was 👍 friendly & quick. Pricing is a little higher than a typical franchise burger but considering the overhead costs and Canada's inflation it's considered "normal". 2 burgers & medium fries for $30+- in change, is it worth it? To each consumers own evaluation and depth of their pockets. In my opinion 5 guys is worth trying, to go on a regular basis NO. It's not economically feasible. Treat yourself once in a while, overall reasonable eatery. Until next time Health & Prosperity to all Read more
Make sure to think right away and clarify that you want toppings or they automatically serve you/ make you pay the burger and that’s it. I am not sure why the cashier was in a rush to proceed with the payment as there was nobody behind us waiting… so he misses ... the second burger toppings and after went at the back to write down on a paper to add toppings. Except we weren't done speaking as we wanted some hot sauce. He replied yes to my question “have you also mention hot sauce?” which is surprising because I didn't say it before he spoke to the cooks. Anyway, I ended us with jalapenos in my burgers whereas I didn't want any and no hot sauce on the second burger that he clearly confirmed with me. I got the feeling and saw my order number with the burgers being finalized and asked directly the guy if he can add the hot sauce as ir was missing from my order at cashier. He has been very nice, didn't ask questions and just proceed with the sauce. The burgers are good. Just the ordering process wasn't the easiest like the cashier doesn't want to talk at all… Fries are good. The place/atmosphere for some reason doesn't feel it’s clean… Read more
Was really craving a burger and I know Five Guys always hits the spot…except for this one time. Maybe because I went late in the evening and they didn’t put love into their food. The burger was decent. The double patty with cheese is a staple in my diet. The poutine was a ... massive let down. The employee making the gravy didn’t know what she was doing. At least they were nice enough to admit their fault and refund my poutine. The customer service is enough to give them another try Read more
