Ordered pick up from this restaurant, mixed feelings about the food. The egg roll was huge and tasted ok, but the grease ran out of the bag it was in. The ginger chicken was quite dry as there was only a small amount of sauce in the container. The ... chicken fried rice was dry, but tasted ok. So I find the food ok to average and it's close to my house. But the dining room seems to double as storage. It doesn't feel inviting when there is stuff scattered around. I get that already at home far too often, and that's not the type of 'home' ... feeling I want. Waitress was grumpy and frustrated so that should have been our cue to leave as well shortly after we arrived a service delivery came person was having issues with their pick up order. Service was slow, unfriendly and since she was frustrated about orders either coming in, mixed up ... or who knows what the mood was transferred to us… Then the food was not flavorful. My wife had told me we had ordered from this restaurant a few years ago. But I did not believe her because I typically always go back to a restaurant that I like. If I ever only go to a restaurant once it was for a reason. Well after we picked ... up our pickup order and brought it home I remembered why. I did not go back here. We ordered a Szechuan chicken dish, black bean chicken dish and beef broccoli. From my perspective there was 90% vegetables and 10% meat! Keep in mind each dish cost about $12.99. so, the cost of putting 90% vegetables and like 10% chicken is far less than what they charge for the dish yet they prepare the dish this way anyway. Now maybe I'm not understanding something. It has been my experience when eating at Chinese restaurants that sometimes the dish is very much influenced by the region of China the chefs hell from. But there's no excuse for them not giving us what we paid for. There's a reasonable expectation that the dish should at least be 50% meat and 50% vegetables. I later went back to check the reviews of this place and it has four stars on Google out of 184 reviews. However, one thing I noticed was that the one two star reviews did feature people who were upset about the composition of their dishes. When they were take out. They complained about how there was more vegetables than I was meat. However, people who eaten at the buffet tended to have a better experience. So, what I would recommend to anybody who reads this review is to definitely be mindful of whether or not you're going to get what you pay for for takeout. As you well all notice I am active in the Google review community so I would certainly encourage you to consider what I have written. Not sure we’ll order from here anymore when all the dishes come as 75% onions and peppers which is disappointing since we’ve order from them directly for years now. Picture shows how much chicken was in the Szechuan chicken vs vegetables. The noodles were about the same mostly filler less ... meat and noodles. The fell fried wontons had less then a penny sized amount of meat in them. It tastes all right but not worth spending $15 on onions and peppers. Read more
