Main Street & Barbecue is fantastic! I had the pork side ribs, and they were some of the best I’ve ever tasted—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I've eaten here once before, and I never left a review, as the restaurant is not for me. You really have to like meat to eat here. However, my friend who ate here the other day took a picture of her bacon wrapped corn on the cob, and I just ... had to have some. What I received as a delivery was nothing like what she received at the restaurant. I have posted a picture of hers and what I received as delivery. It was a little disappointing but still good, and I ate quite a bit of it. It was the last thing I ate and BOOM, food poisoning. I had the chance to go to this place yesterday (Tuesday May 14, 2024) with some friends to have some fun, drink a couple of beers and try a few food items. It was not our first time being there and thought it was not going to be the last. ... Unfortunately, it turned out differently. We decided to go to this place due to the fact that, according to its website and google, it closes at midnight on a Tuesday. So we arrived around 9pm, intending to be there for at least 2 hours. The placed was packed since there was a playoff Hockey game. It was around 10 when the game ended and the place started to get empty. By the time the game ended, we had just ordered our second beer as well as some chips and cheese snack, and a few minutes later, the waitress, who according to the receipt is named Hope, told us they were closing at 11:00pm and it was the last call for food and drinks, so I immediately asked her why they were closing that early even though the website and google showed 12 am as the closing time, and by the way, the door at the entrance states that they close at 1:00 am from Sundays to Wednesdays (picture attached). She replied saying that it is a policy of the restaurant that if there was only a few people, they had to close early, which made me feel that my friends and I are not important for the business, even though we were consuming, and we were intending to consume more. After we received a last order of snacks, we finished the chips, but we still had a good amount of cheese dipping sauce, so we asked if we could get a refill of chips just to finish the sauce, and "Hope" in a very rude manner, replied to us, asking if we had understood that it had been the last call earlier and that the restaurant was closing at 11. The funny thing is that at least 2 more different consumers came to the restaurant close to 11pm to have a drink or something to eat and they were told that the restaurant was already close and they had to leave, and I repeat, even though it was supposed to be opened until midnight. That "policy" is mentioned nowhere and it is very sad that a place we use to like has treated us this bad, unfortunately for the restaurant they have lost at least 4 costumers. This is absolutely the place to go to watch sports!!! Their service is great and we absolutely LOVE the smoked wings! Their food is on the pricey side though....so I usually order what is on special. One thing I have ordered that was quite disappointing is their Beet Salad. It ... was tiny and boring. Just a cup of chopped beets with a tiny sprinkle of cheese. Do not bother ordering this. Very nice atmosphere with some neat decor. They have 2 huge screens to watch any big event. The food was good but spicy all round. The service was very slow, it took almost 90 minutes to get the food we ordered. I don't think the service is normally slow and ... the restaurant took it upon themselves to comp our drinks because of the service. So overall the customer service even with an issue was rectified without us saying anything. A few items sold out like the wine and short ribs but I think that is to be expected for a place that smokes a certain amount of meat daily. Read more
